Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (-/-/D)
Arriving at at the airport. FOOTSTEP TRAVEL tour guide and car will transfer to hotel for check in. We come to visit Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son temple, take  a cyclo tour to explore the Old Quarter to see the life in Hanoi. Enjoying a Water Puppet Show. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B/L/D)
Breakfast in hotel then the car and tour guide will pick you up at the hotel then departing from your hotel at 8:00am for Ha Long Bay - one of the most stunning natural wonders of Vietnam. Arriving Halong take having lunch in the restaurant in Halong City. Afterward, take a cruise trip on the bay to see many islands bear names given by fishermen according to their shape: Cone-shaped Cookie, Banana, Small Fish, Tortoise, Nail, wading Ox etc. Overnight on boat.

Day 3: Halong Bay - Hanoi (B/-/)
Breakfast then we continue to cruise to explore more caves and grottoes. Return to Halong Wharf for transferring back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 4: Hanoi - Vientiane (B/-/-)
After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight to Vientaine (Laos). Met by FOOTSTEP TRAVEL tour guide and car in Laos then transferred to Hotel. Having lunch then in the afternoon taking a city tour of Vientiane to see Wat Sisaket, the Museum Hor PraKeo, That Luang stupa and Arc of the Triumph. Overnight in Vientiane.

Day 5: Vientiane - Pakse - Tadlo (B/-/-)
Breakfast in hotel then transferred to the aiprort for flight to Pakse. Met in the Pakse airport then drive to TadLo. Having lunch then visit the plantation tea, coffee, the minority villages of Khmu: Ta Oy, Katou. Overnight TadLo.

Day 6: Tadlo - Champassak (B/-/-)
Breakfast in hotel then drive to Ban Kiat Gong, visit Oum Muang and to the Mont Phou Asa. Afternoon drive to Champassack, visit Wat Phou temple, the Pre - Angkor wat dated in early 6th century - World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Overnight in Champassack.

Day 7: Champassak - Khong Island (B/-/-)
Breakfast in hotel then drive to the Khong Island - Paradise Area of 4,000 Island. Visit the Island, Ban Kone, the waterfall LiPhi and Khone PhaPheng. Overnight in Khong Island. 

Day 8: Khong Island - Veun Kham - Steung Treng - Kratie (B/-/-)
After the breakfast, you are transferred to the border of Cambodia at Veun Kham. On the road, arrive at the border towards 10h or 11h00 then together a tour guide who meet you there to take a boat with Steung Treng for the lunch. After the lunch continue the voyage until the province of Kratie. The travelers must arrive to Veun Khan to do immigration procedures at 10:00 am. Overnight at Kratie.

Day 9: Kratie (B/-/-)
After the breakfast, transfer to visit Wat Phnom Sambok and visit Kampee waterfall and 100 columns pagoda. Overnight at Kratie.

Day 10: Kratie - Siemreap (B/L/D)
Breakfast in hotel the transferred to Siem Reap by air-con vehicle. After arriving in Siem Reap check in hotel. Siem Reap city sight seeing and then view sunset from Phnom Bakeng Hill, enjoying an outstanding view over Angkor. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 11: Siemreap - Angkor Thom (B/L/D)
After breakfast, visit the antique capital of Angkor Thom: the South Gate, the Bayon with 54 towers, each carved with four faces of the compassionate Boddhisattva, the nearby temple-mountain of Baphuon, the Royal Enclosure with the Phimeanakas temple, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Angkor Wat (early-mid 12th century) dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu. This huge temple-mountain, built by King Suryavarman II, is considered as the masterpiece of Khmer architecture and art. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 12: Siemreap - Angkor Wat (B/L/D)
Visit the famous temple of Bantey Srey "the Citadel of Women". This small pink sandstone temple (late 10th century) is considered as the crown jewel of classical Khmer art with the delicate beauty of its carvings. Continue to Bantey Samre (mid 12th century), which has been admirably restored and the Kbal Spean temple. Lunch in a local restaurant. Continue to visit the twin temples of Thommanon and Chau Say Tevoda (early 12th century), the unfinished temple-mountain of Ta Keo, the Srah Srang holy pond, Bantey Kdei and then the scenic Ta Prohm monastery, left to the devouring jungle. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 13: Siem reap - Rolous Group (B/L/D)
Breakfast in hotel then visit the Roluos Group: the Preah Ko, the temple-mountain of Bakong and the Lolei temple set in the middle of a former water reservoir or Baray. Roluos Group (late 9th century) represents the remains of Hariharalaya, the first major capital of the Angkorian era Khmer empire. Lunch in a local restaurant. Explore the monastic complex of Preah Khan of which name means « Sacred Sword », the small island temple of Neak Pean, and then Ta Som. These three temples were built by King Jayavarman VII and illustrate the preeminence of Mahayana Buddhism during his reign. Return to Siem Reap. Visit Les Artisans d'Angkor - this place was founded in 1992 and its aim to revive that ancient Khmer art. this organization gives young people to learn the art of stone, wood carving and silk weaving. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 14: Siem Reap - Kampong Thom (B/L/D)
After breakfast, drive towards Kompong Thom. En route, visit traditional Cambodian villages and Naga Bridge, an ancient Angkorian bridge which is still in use. Upon arrival in Kompong Thom, check-in at your hotel. Lunch in restaurant. In the afternoon, discover Sambor Prei Kuk, the antique capital of Chenla (early 7th century). Originally called Ishanapura, Sambor Prei Kuk is home to the most impressive group of pre-Angkorian monuments with more than 100 temples scattered through the lush forest. Overnight in Kampong Thom. 

Day 15: Kampong Thom - Kampong Cham (B/L/D)
After breakfast, drive towards Kampong Cham. On the way, visit Wat Kohar Nokor, built during the 11th century during the reign of Suryavarman I, and the nearby village with its monastery. Then stop at Phum Prasat and see its pre-Angkorian tower within the compound of the village pagoda. Upon arrival in Kampong Cham, check-in at your hotel. Lunch in a local restaurant In the afternoon, cross the Mekong River and drive to Chhup rubber tree plantations, established in the early 20th century on the fertile Cambodian red soils. Overnight in Kampong Cham.

Day 16: Kampong Cham - Phnom penh (B/L/D)
After breakfast, drive towards Phnom Penh. En route, discover Phnom Bros and Phnom Srei khmer temples (the site was used as a Killing Field during the Khmer Rouge era), Wat Nokor, an Angkorian temple (12th century) housing a colorful modern pagoda. Then enjoy a city tour of Kampong Cham to see the fine colonial architecture of Cambodia’s third city. Continuing to Phnompenh. Overnight in Phnompenh.

Day 17: Phnom Penh (B/L/D)
Breakfast in hotel. Visit the National Museum displaying a collection of pre-Angkorian and Angkorian sculptures, the Royal Palace with the Silver Pagoda, and then Wat Phnom, the namesake of the capital city of Cambodia. Having lunch then strolling through the bustling Central Market, famous for its Art-Deco architecture. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 18: Departure (B/-/-)
Breakfast at your hotel, free time until transfer to airport for departure. End of the tour.
